Legacy Of:

George  E.  Hulpiau

Personal Legacy
George Hulpiau, was as good a bombardier as Peterson was a navigator. He worked at his craft, he was very skilled. Only after our crew got back together Dec. 43 and Jan 44 was he able to show his expertise.

He had unusual results on the St. Jean D' Angely mission of Dec 31, 43 and the Meppen mission of Jan 11,44. Both merited Division commendations.

George enrolled in the CO School of Mines after the war, became a petroleum engineer. Worked his whole life for Sinclair Oil. His last task before retirement was as head of their Venezuelan facilities.

George folded his wings ten days ago.
