Memories and Biography
(Taken from a letter to Will Lundy)
29 January 1983
Firstly, I would like to apologize for having taken so long to write to you. I've been digging for old records, information that might be useful to you, but to no avail. All I can come up with is a copy of my discharge and a picture of our airplane and crew. Our bombardier isn't in this picture because, if I remember correctly, bombardiers were not required except in lead crews and we were not lead crew at the time when this picture was taken. We did become lead crew later on, but I don't remember the name of our bombardier.
I received a letter from George Fraga and I want to thank you kindly for having made it possible.
I do remember the hometowns of most of our crewmembers, but no addresses. But I think you must have this information already.
Will, if there's anything else I can help you with, please do not hesitate to ask. I admire you and hold you in deep respect for your dedication. Keep in touch.
Many regards to your family,
Oliver M. Lopez
